The outer power feels that there is a height which has to be transcended and that if this goal is achieved, then satisfaction will dawn. Scientific methods have already been applied to the psychological study of religion with good results. An expert on managing work tasks and communication, Michael has written seven books on workday productivity, among them several best sellers. What does this mean? For more than forty years, Michael has also been interested in the development of consciousness.

The communal nature of the experience is essential, for being with others makes the silence more valuable. Many people embark on a seemingly futile search for happiness, running as if there is somewhere else to get to, when the world they live in is full of wonder. I used to find that whenever there was drama in my lifemy brain would get louder. The essential is not the description of experience, nor the theories proposed to account for it; but life as known at first hand, what it means, what one can do with it. At the same time, I can do everything because there is someone in me, the Inner Pilot, who will do everything for me.

I began to listen. The following chapter is devoted to a more explicit statement of the method of meditation. Moreover, it is significant that those who have been most helped by the book have paid least attention to its verbal or theoretical defects, but have gone straight to the heart of living experience in the manner advised. LeClaire took the extreme step of choosing not to speak every Monday, a strategy that brought her inner peace but external strife, as her decision offended family and friends who found her silence to be a judgment on their words.

Inner power of silence book

The response is undeniable: all that is great and creative is formed by silence. The present volume has brought much evidence that it is of practical value. It knows perfectly well that when it is descending, it is carrying down to earth the descending God; and when it is ascending, it is carrying up to Heaven the ascending God.

The defects of the original edition were due to the fact that it was a first book, and that it was prepared from lecture notes with comparatively few changes. The farther the scientific investigation is carried, the more must the individual co-operate.

You could easily start this book and never finish it … just reading each reflection and pondering the wisdom in the Silence of God. This gift of silence doesn't require hours upon hours of silent meditation or an existing practice of any kind.

I knew from that day on there was something more. You may trample. However, unlike nature, which is effortless silence, meditation may be slightly more challenging.

It was almost like my thinking brain was sucking up all the energy from my entire body. The communal nature of the experience is essential, for being with others makes the silence more valuable.

Cardinal Sarah is one of three prominent prelates today I most admire. They are simple and profound. But I continued to feed and grow that silence by persisting and holding in quiet meditation, or nourishing it through active meditative activities that anchored it.

In a time when there is more and more noise, and technology and materialism continue to exert their hold on us, Cardinal Robert Sarah presents a bold book about the strength of silence.

Through the healing, my silence is now infused with deep wisdom. Instead of resisting or fearing your thoughtssimply be aware. When I sit in Meeting, I am constantly chasing away thoughts, which are made up of words.

Silence shows us how to find and maintain our equanimity amid the barrage of noise.

Gaining Inner Power

The true revolution comes from silence; it leads us toward God and others so as to place ourselves humbly and generously at their service. It remains to carry the investigation a stage farther, that it may cover the entire field of the inner life."In his latest book, The Power of Silence, Cardinal Sarah demonstrates a truly profound and insightful understanding of the current state of the human condition.

With a clarity and directness that is refreshing, His Eminence points out how it is nearly impossible to encounter God in the "hell of noise" which characterizes our modern experience/10(1).

At Inner Power Yoga you will receive the teachings of traditional yoga. Yoga is not exercise - it is the science of energy management and art of Self-inquiry. It is a spiritual practice passed down from teacher to student for thousands of years. In this chaotic world, we need Silence to maintain and enlarge our inner connection with the mystery of the world, to find a sense of spiritual direction, and to become more receptive to healing from the spiritual worlds.

Robert Sardello's exquisite descriptions of previously unrecognized dimensions of Silence, along with exercises, can help us find what we most long to feel--an intimate sense.

the present discussion, will find that book the best introduction. On the other hand, those who are interested to follow the philosophical problems here barely touched upon will find a much more elaborate treatment of these questions in the maturer volume, Man and the Divine Order, H.
